Honeyberries / Haskaps are incredibly hardy down to Zone 2, They are becoming very popular and hard to find. They grow readily from cuttings. They are one of my favorite fruits and I can never have enough. We are expanding our Haskap production this year so we can have enough for ourselves.
For cuttings you will receive 3 or 4 node cuttings from last years growth would should give the best chances of rooting. We have had very high rooting success as long as the cuttings are pushed into the ground the correct distance, and they are watered extremely often and kept out of the direct sunlight for the first 30-60 days. So that they can send out roots and get established without the stress of drying out or sunscald on the new leaves.
When you get your package, put the cuttings into water as soon as you can so they can rehydrate and plant them as soon as the ground can be worked. The earlier the better so they can wake up slowly in cool ground.
