Hardy Kiwi "Red Beauty" Male & Female Cuttings Extremely fast g rowth!
from $14.00
[Late Winter/Early Spring 2026 Nursery Update!]
We are still in the thick of winter here, with 1–2 feet of snow on the ground and single digit nighttime temperatures. While we aim to maintain a fast shipping schedule, our top priority is protecting your plants. We will harvest, process, and ship orders only during windows of mild weather to ensure your cuttings and plants arrive safely. (We cannot wait for temps to go above freezing!)
We can’t wait for the growing season to begin!
Hardy Kiwi Cuttings - Singles or Mated Pair (Male & Female)
These Kiwi are perfect for making living structures and walls!
Grow your own hardy kiwis with mated pairs of cuttings! This set includes 2 male and 2 female Actinidia kolomikta cuttings, ensuring pollination for fruit production. Hardy kiwis are a gardener’s delight—easy to grow, cold-tolerant, and pest-resistant, they thrive where other fruits might struggle. The vines dazzle with variegated leaves in shades of green, pink, and white, making them as ornamental as they are productive. Best of all, you’ll harvest small, sweet, fuzz-free kiwis that don’t need peeling! They have extremely vigorous growth!
Planting Instructions:
Choose a sunny, well-drained spot with support like a trellis or arbor.
Soak cuttings in water for 1-2 hours before planting.
Plant in early spring or fall, burying the cutting so that just the top node is 1" above ground in moist, rich soil, spaced 8-10 feet apart.
Water regularly to keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.
If possible keep harsh direct sunlight off the young cuttings until they have roots to support the dehydration.
What to Expect:
With proper care, roots will establish within a couple months. By the second year, these vines take off, growing vigorously—up to 10-20 feet per season! Females, pollinated by the males, will bear fruit in 3-4 years, yielding a bountiful crop of tasty kiwis.
Be warned! Their rapid growth can overwhelm nearby structures like fences or weak trellises, so plan for sturdy support and regular pruning to keep them in check.
You can order Male or Female cuttings or Pairs!
Small plant pairs coming later in spring!
